Northwest Junior Pipe Band - World of Whisky Tour (Feb 12 or 13, 2021; 7-9pm PST on Zoom)
Explore a world of whisky and bagpipes & drums while benefiting the Northwest Junior Pipe Band in their quest to return to the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow, Scotland in 2022! Celebrate a late Burns Night, or an early Valentine’s Day, as a couple or with friends or even on your own.
Join a professional whisky taster for an interactive and virtual guided tour of five global whisky regions - Scotland, Ireland, The United States, Canada, and Japan - including tasting notes, history, terroir, and pairings for an increased appreciation of the world's most diverse spirit. From the comfort of your home, enjoy a full sensory experience from the taste and aroma of the whiskies to the sound and visuals of pipe band music and highland pageantry.
Christian Skoorsmith, of WhiskyBusiness (www.WhiskyBusiness.biz), is an accredited, professional whisky guide based in Seattle. Christian has been leading virtual tours and tastings to rave reviews. The event’s spirit sponsor, Beam-Suntory, has provided a broad profile of whiskies for us to enjoy.
Participants will receive a tasting kit by delivery in advance of the event with instructions for food pairing so we can all enjoy the experience simultaneously.
For those of “tea”-totaling sensibility, you are not left out! A curated collection of five delicious teas has been prepared to tempt and expand your palate and accompany the parallel whisky tour. Also included are two “mock-tail” starters of non-alcoholic “Scotch” and “Gin” substitutes with directions for simple and tasty aperitifs.
Seats for the Whisky Tour are limited to 75 per day, so get your tickets early! Join our "Wait List" if your tour is sold out in case we can squeeze a few more in.

Price levels are as follows:
- Standard Tour (including five 1oz samples of world whiskies) at $75
- Premium Tour (including two additional samples for a deeper, richer experience) at $100
- The Tea-Totaling with Mocktail Tour is $75
Note: Tasting kits can be sent anywhere in the United States. Due to customs restrictions, whisky packages cannot be shipped to Canada. However, we invite any of our Canadian guests to try the Tea + Mocktail package (and perhaps keep your own whisky bottle nearby to join in the ambience!)
